Monday Motivation: Body Art

I don’t have any tattoos, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t struggled with the idea of marking my body for life. Maybe I’ll remain in the minority of people with no tattoos, maybe I won’t.

Recently I’ve been obsessed with writing down the spine.

Are tattoos worth the hype? Why or why not have you chosen them?

  1. I can’t see myself getting a tattoo either. My mother and all my siblings have at least one, but it doesn’t appeal to me. I have a few piercings though (ears and a nostril), but those can easily be taken out and aren’t noticeable, whereas a tattoo is definitely a bolder choice.

I’ve always had a fascination with body modifications! I know I’m obsessed with the idea of getting them, but I have only gone as far as piercing my own ears, and spacing them. I have 5 piercings in total.

Currently I think I’d get tatted for the look of it rather than getting something with meaning (it seems most people have a story behind their tats). Although, I’ve yet to find anything of great great significance to me.

Obviously I’m not of age yet, but I would totally go for a few tattoos if given the opportunity now.
The only obstacles I could ever think of preventing me from getting tattoos are my parents (big BIG no no for them), and this might sound weird but I have this weird idea that I wouldn’t get a tattoo until I’m completely comfortable in, and with the appearance of my body.

    1. Spacing your piercings? I’m not sure I know what that means.

I am also a piercing hoard. I have pierced earlobes and tragus, as well as navel. I haven’t had a good enough reason to get a tattoo either, and I don’t want something spur of the moment. I am impulsive to a certain point. So I wait…
