On with the dance! Let joy be unconfined -Mark Twain
Sav’s my alter ego, but we have similar dance theories and practice. We both dance a ‘freestyle’ merengue and bachata which basically means we don’t dance by the rules, mix other dance forms to the beat, and if there’s no guy willing to take us out– we will dance in circles by ourselves! (as seen here)
I like bachata and merengue because they are relatively easy and less-structured. Salsa is the dance form I need more help with because it’s more structured and you more than likely you need a partner, and I have a problem following people’s leads. 🙂 I would like to take more lessons in the future, but for now I am content just watching! Here’s a little clip of some Costa Rican salsa dancers!

Hey lovelies! How was your Halloween? I’m all doped up on caffeine now since I decided to indulge in a Caramel Frappe around 6pm. I did not celebrate Halloween this weekend, and in the wake of #Sandy, there didn’t seem to be that same holiday spirit in the air. I hope that all my readers from NYC, NJ and the surrounding areas are doing well and trying to get back to some kind of normal. I saw this picture today on Facebook:
I am writing mid-week with great news to report.
GlobeTracer has been NOMINATED! Yay!
For what? 2012 Best Travel Blog by BLOGS BY LATINAS.
What do I get if I win? I’m not really sure except a cool badge and bragging rights.
<a href=”http://blogsbylatinas.com/blogs-by-latinas-awards” target=”blank”><img src=”http://i48.tinypic.com/vobm03.jpg” /></a>
So would you please be kind enough to vote GlobeTracer for BEST TRAVEL BLOG (Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page)? Pretty please with a cherry on top?
I will most appreciate it! Here’s a little dance in exchange for your vote! I will say this is a most accurate depiction of me trying to pick up dance moves on the fly! 🙂
Smooches!,

Homesick. A year ago today, I was in my second month living in Costa Rica. In 6 days (June 11th) I’ll be celebrating Globe Tracer’s one year blog-o-versary.
Thought I’d share this video of Costa Rica taken by some surfin’ gringos. It does show some very tico landmarks like; sodas (our word for bodegas), Pilsen beer, soccer matches, wildlife, beaches, and lots of green!!
Enjoy!
